BURST school holiday activities
The BURST School Holiday Activity Programme offers children and young people of 5 years of age, all the way to 18 years, the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities over the school holidays. BURST runs in every school holiday throughout the year and each programme has a range of taster sessions and the Burst Camps. Every event is led by highly qualified staff who's aim is to introduce children to the specific sport, develop their basic skills and then encourge them onto the local club who deliver the sport. Through the excellent standard of activities and the programmes contribution to sport within the community, the programme has been accredited with the Inspire mark.

Burst Camp

Richmond Sports Complex at Richmond school
Catterick Leisure Centre
Yorebridge Sport and Fitness Centre, Askrigg
Prices: £15 per day £60 for the week
The Lottery funded, Ofsted registered, Burst holiday activity camp is running from Richmond, Catterick and Askrigg this February Half Term. The Burst holiday camp scheme follows on from a highly successful first Burst camp in Richmond and now covers the entire district so that high quality provision is accessible to the entire population of Richmondshire. Sport and Play Officers will lead the activities for the children and will include arts and crafts, multi-sport games, dance, drama, specific sports coaching as well as fun playground games. For every activity provided, high quality is assured. In addition to the day to day activities a range of extra trips and visits take place at no extra charge. Previous trips include visits to and from the police station, the fire station, the Green Howards Museum, the Station Cinema, Foxglove Covet, Hipswell Habitat, Ambulance station, and many many more!!

**NEW** Short Burst
Colburn Leisure Centre
Prices: £6 per day or £25 for the week
This February Half Term brings you a new addition to the Burst Activity Scheme calendar, The Short Burst. Essentially the same theme as Burst Camp, this is a shorter day for children and parents that only want to entertain the children for a short time and as a result brings the price down as low as just £5.00 a day!! Activities will be the same as the standard Burst Camps, just at a lower price and shorter hours!

Glee Dance week
Richmond Sports Complex at Richmond Secondary School
Ages: 5 yrs +

Burst has another Glee Dance week again this February half term!! This vibrant high energy series of workshops will teach you different dance techniques, give you the chance to do some of your own choreography, and you even get the chance to perform what you have learnt at the end!

Adrenalin Outdoor week
Adrenalin Outdoor centre
Ages: 10 yrs +
Prices: £22.00 per day or £85.00 for the week
This action packed week with Adrenalin, home of the Krypton Factor assault course, will give children an opportunity to not only go on the 900 metre military style Krypton Factor assault course but also take part with the wide range of other activities that adrenalin has to offer. This will include a high ropes confidence course, a 500 feet double zip wire, bush craft, survival training, air weapons, archery and aerial obstacle course.

Gymnastics and Dance

Prices: £14.00
Roll, Flip, Twirl, and Spin with our expert gymnastics coaches. A session to help develop your skills as well as make sure you have some fun!!! Then practice the latest moves in this fun dance workshop, loads of different styles for all. From Line Dancing to Pop, come join in and have some fun!!

Archery and Fencing

Take aim and go medieval with this Archery day. The session will work through the basics of archery and before you know it you could be firing arrows just like Robin Hood!! Then in the afternoon....

Climbing
Marrick Priory

Climbing returns to the Burst Calendar of activities this February Half Term with an exciting taster day in store for children at the Marrick Priory! You will be taken through the ropes, starting with basic techniques and then going through the higher and more advanced climbing walls available! A fun day without a doubt!
