Coach education and development is paramount to the advancement of sport in the UK.
This section highlights some important information necessary to support the development of both the coaches involved at your club, but also the club itself.

UK Coaching Certificate
The UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) is an initiative to endorse coach education programmes, across sports within the UK, against agreed criteria including:
- The endorsement of the coaching qualification a coach will take
- The development of appropriate resources to deliver effective and high quality coach education programmes
- Quality assured administration and management structure of coach education provision provided by sports
- Quality assured training provision of coach education
All coach education courses provided across our district are inline with UK Coaching Standards. If you take a qualification endorsed by the UKCC you can be confident you are on the way to coaching success!
Requesting a Course
It is a part of the Richmondshire Sports Development Strategy's objective to implement a skills development programme, we are continuously examining the community's demand for courses whether it is sport or arts based.
If you feel that there is a need for a particular coaching/leadership course in Richmondshire then please let us know by emailing sdc@rltsport.co.uk so that we can look to incorporate it into future programmes.
